Founded in 1975, the Washington Volvo Club is the continuation of a club begun in 1958 for the care and feeding of VOLVOs. In 1978, the WVC was chosen to participate in a print and video advertisement for VOLVO CARS.

After that, everything changed, and we ceased being a purely local Club. We went from fifty members to about six hundred members, from Sweden to Malaysia, from Maine to California, and in various places in between!

Meetings - Fourth Tuesday of Month, 7:30 p.m.

• Monthly meetings geared to the care of your Volvo

• An annual party, called a Firande, to celebrate the beginning of a new year

• Do-It-Yourself sessions at various Washington Metro area Volvo Shops for members

• Monthly newsletter called "VOLVAMUS" (think Latin)

• Discounts from the major local dealers

• Shows and Events throughout the year.

Search our site for...

We can usually be found at Carlisle in May or at Summit Point Raceway at most of the vintage race meets, cheering on the 1800 and 544 race cars. We periodically co-sponsor the Tri-Club Meet held at popular resort areas throughout the country.
